Windows Core Isolation Settings

A new feature of Windows can cause issues with amplifiers and other devices on the computer.

This can cause the installation of EEGer to fail, or prevent amplifiers from being able to communicate with the EEGer.

To disable this feature, follow the instructions below:

  1. Open the Start Menu by clicking the icon on the bottom-left of the taskbar.

  2. Type Windows Security and open the app that appears.

  3. On the left-side of the window that opens, select Device Security.

  4. Under Core Isolation, click Core isolation details.

  5. Set Memory Integrity to Off.

  6. Once this setting has been changed to Off, close the Windows Security app and restart the computer for the changes to be applied fully.

After turning off this setting, attempt to perform the action that was previously failing (such as running a session or installing EEGer). If the issue persists, please contact EEG Store.
