Lotus Pond by Ardea Games
Game Description
Lotus Pond uses the simple concept of a blooming lotus flower keeping with the traditions of meditation and relaxation. A lotus flower blooms in the center of the pond when the client achieves the reward state. When the client does not meet the thresholds set by the clinician, the flower slowly begins to close.
Visual feedback is also provided by koi fish and butterflies that appear after a set amount of rewards. Trace meter bars show amplitudes of individual inhibit and reward traces. For stability and variety, the time of day in the game environment progresses at the beginning of each new period of mediation. Further bonus feedback is provided when in a sustained rewardable state by a gentle glow from the flower. Movement of fish, butterflies, and the plants around the flower help enliven the environment but is not part of the direct feedback.
As this is a feedback display for EEGer, the clinician can tailor the feedback on a client-by-client basis or globally for all training sessions. Flexible and attractive, Lotus Pond offers a serene, engaging environment to help with mindfulness practice and other types of neurofeedback training.
