Custom 4mation Sets

Users have the ability to create custom 4mation picture sets in EEGer. This can be used to add new images to an existing 4mation game or to create entirely new and inique feedback displays with their own settings. To create custom sets, follow the instructions below:

  1. Create a new folder on your computer's hard drive to keep the images in. To stay organized, we recommend creating a folder named Custom Picture Sets and a subfolder for each new picture set (e.g., C:\Picture Sets\Yellowstone, C:\Picture Sets\Yosemite, etc.).
  2. Once you have created a folder for a picture set, move the images you would like to use to the new picture set folder.
  3. Open EEGer and navigate to Tools > Game Initialization Tool from the top toolbar of EEGer's main display.
  4. Double-click 4mation to display a list of configuration settings for the game.
  5. Select option 1101: List of Possible Directories from the list of configuration settings.
  6. A new window will display with a list of directories currently used for 4mation picture sets.
  7. Click Add to open a Windows File Explorer window.
  8. In the window that appears, find the folder in which you've saved your photos (e.g., C:\Picture Sets\Yellowstone). Click the folder to highlight it.
  9. Once the folder is highlighted, click OK in the file explorer to select the folder. You should now see the folder's pathname in the list of possible directories.
  10. Click Done at the bottom of the list of possible directories. This should return you back to the list of games.
  11. Click Done-Save Configuration at the bottom of the options list.
  12. Click SAVE all games at the bottom of the menu that follows.

Now when you begin or replay a session you will see a new game with the title of the folder containing your photos. You can then tailor this game as you would like without also impacting the settings of other 4mation picture sets on the computer.

File Size Requirements

  • Images should be under 1MB.
  • Images should be in PNG format.
  • Images should have a maximum resolution of 1024x768.
