Adjusting Minimum Time Between Auditory Rewards

By default, EEGer is set to provide reward beeps every .5 seconds when in a state of maximum reward. This means that remaining in a rewardable state for 10 consecutive seconds will produce 20 total reward beeps.

By adjusting the minimum time between rewards, a user can cause the auditory feedback to occur more regularly or less regularly. The minimum time between rewards can be adjusted by following these instructions:

  1. Navigate to Options>EEGer Configuration Options from the top toolbar of EEGer's main screen.
  2. Locate the Preferences tab at the top of the options menu.
  3. Locate Option 4 Default Minimum seconds between rewards - by default, this should be set to a value of .5 seconds.
  4. By increasing this value, auditory rewards will be 'slower'. Decreasing this value will cause auditory rewards to be 'faster'.
  5. Once this value is adjusted to the desired interval, click Close preferences window at the bottom of the options menu to return to EEGer's main screen.
